First off, let me begin by saying that UFC is an exciting show for those who like combat sports and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). In spite of that, we witnessed a terribly lame fight last January 31st, at UFC 183, where Silva and Diaz fought like old ladies.
Silva, the winner, made $800,000 on the night compared to the $500,000 that Diaz got for losing. Silva even brought to our attention that he might retire after that fight –and it is up to you to decide if this was self-marketing or not. The UFC, on it’s own, drew an announced attendance of 13,114 paying viewers for a live gate value of $4.5 million according to some speculation. But was it worth it?
